Things to Keep in Mind
Pottery is a slow and thoughtful process. After the workshop, your pieces will need time to fully dry and then go through the kiln firing, which usually takes a couple of weeks depending on thickness and studio schedules. Once everything is finished, we’ll post a pickup announcement on both Facebook and Instagram (@madebypottery) so you’ll know when your pieces are ready.
Because each piece is handmade, they may have small imperfections, and sometimes pieces can crack during drying or firing. This is a natural part of working with clay, and a reminder that the value of this workshop is in the experience itself: creating, laughing, and making memories together. Due to this nature of the process, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements for pieces that crack or encounter issues during firing.
We appreciate your understanding and hope you cherish the joy of the moment, the creativity, and the handmade character of your pottery.
Can children come to studio events?
To respect our members and other participants — and to ensure everyone’s safety — MadeBy Studio events are for ages 13 and up, unless otherwise noted.
We occasionally host special events throughout the year that are suitable for younger participants with very close adult supervision, and these will be clearly marked as family-friendly.
