Our 4-week beginner pottery course is designed to introduce you to the full process of creating handmade ceramic pieces from start to finish. During the first four weeks, you’ll learn how to throw pottery on the wheel and shape functional or sculptural forms with guided, step-by-step instruction. You’ll explore centering clay, pulling walls, trimming, attaching handles, and more while creating pieces that reflect your personal style.
After your pieces are finished and bisque fired (usually 2–3 weeks after your final class), you’ll return to glaze them. Glazing sessions are included as part of your course and can be completed during our designated glazing times.
