Tuesday Morning Adult Pottery Course
4-Week Pottery Course
Glazing Included After Firing
Tuesday 10am-1pm
Our 4-week pottery course introduces you to the complete process of creating handmade ceramic pieces. During the four class sessions, you’ll learn to throw pottery on the wheel with step-by-step instruction. We’ll cover centering clay, pulling walls, shaping forms, trimming, and adding details such as handles or textures. You’ll make functional or sculptural pieces that reflect your own creative style.
After your pieces are made, they must dry and go through their first firing. This usually takes 2–3 weeks after your final class. Once your pottery is bisque-fired, you’ll return to glaze your work. Glazing is included in your course, and you’ll have access to our designated glazing times. A glazing demonstration will be provided so you feel confident choosing colors and applying glazes correctly.
This structure gives you focused making time during your 4 classes, and then a dedicated return visit for glazing — allowing you to complete your work with care and intention.
Every student will leave with finished pottery that is entirely one-of-a-kind.
No experience needed.
Just bring curiosity, patience, and a willingness to learn something new.
