Looking for a fun, hands-on pottery experience without a long-term commitment? Drop in on Saturdays and give wheel throwing a try. Whether you’re a first-timer or just want more time on the wheel, this open-format session lets you explore clay at your own pace with guidance from our instructor.
What You’ll Learn
Get Comfortable with Clay: Learn how to prepare and handle clay for wheel throwing.
Try the Basics: Practice essential techniques like centering, pulling, and shaping.
Create and Experiment: Make as many pieces as you like and see what works for you.
Pick Your Favorites: Choose your two best pieces to be glazed and fired.
What’s Included
All clay, tools, and access to a pottery wheel
Friendly guidance from an instructor
Professional kiln firing and glazing for two selected pieces
Extra clay to practice with—non-selected pieces will be recycled
Approximately 2 hours of wheel time

What to Bring
Pottery is a messy and fun process. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty—clay washes off easily, but we recommend bringing a towel or rag for cleanup.
