MadeBy Summer Clay Camp: Wheel Throwing for Teens & Tweens (Ages 11–16)

Cost: $200 (Includes all materials & firing)
Location: MadeBy Pottery Studio, 2805 Main Street, Hurricane, WV

This 4-day wheel-throwing camp is designed for teens and tweens who are ready to learn real pottery skills in a focused, creative studio environment. Whether they’re total beginners or have dabbled in clay before, students will receive hands-on instruction and guidance as they explore the art of throwing on the potter’s wheel.

Campers will:
🌀 Learn how to center, shape, and refine clay on the wheel
🏺 Make functional pottery like bowls, mugs, and vases
✂️ Trim and prepare their pieces for firing
🎨 Glaze their pottery using vibrant, food-safe finishes
🔥 Pick up their completed work 2–3 weeks later

🎉 Summer Clay Camp Art Show – July 18th
All participants from our June camps (both Little Creators and Wheel Throwing for Teens & Tweens) are invited to show off their favorite pieces during our Summer Clay Camp Art Show on Friday, July 18th. Families and friends are welcome to join us at the studio to celebrate the young artists’ creativity!
